About Us
Better Life Adult Program is a nurturing and empowering space dedicated to helping adults build meaningful lives filled with dignity, independence, and connection. We offer personalized support, skill-building, and community integration so that every day is a chance to grow, connect, and thrive.
Our Core Values
Our History
Our program was founded by sisters Tsion Kiros and Dagmawit Kiros, who have dedicated over seven years to serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Their experience spans both residential and center-based settings, giving them a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that come with supporting adults in different environments. Throughout their careers, Tsion and Dagmawit have worked directly with individuals, families, and interdisciplinary teams to promote growth, independence, and meaningful community involvement. Their passion for advocacy and person-centered care inspired them to create a program where adults with developmental disabilities are not only supported, but truly valued, respected, and given opportunities to thrive.
With a foundation built on compassion, experience, and a commitment to quality care, our day program was established to provide a safe, structured, and empowering environment. We believe in creating opportunities that nurture social, vocational, and daily living skills—while also building community connections that foster a sense of belonging. What began as a shared vision between two sisters has grown into a program dedicated to making a lasting difference in the lives of the people we serve and their families.
About the founders
Dagmawit Kiros and her sister Tsion Kiros are the founders of this day program for adults with developmental disabilities. Dagmawit graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Nutritional Science and began her career as a Registered Behavior Technician at an ABA center. She then served as Residential Manager at a 24-hour residential home, gaining extensive experience supporting both children and adults in residential and center-based settings. Together, Dagmawit and Tsion are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and empowering environment where individuals can build skills, independence, and confidence while feeling valued and included.
Tsion Kiros is a co-founder of this day program for adults with developmental disabilities. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies and a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Texas Tech University. Tsion has extensive experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities across a variety of settings, including center-based programs, residential facilities, and day programs. Her expertise and dedication ensure that the program provides high-quality, person-centered care that fosters growth, independence, and meaningful community connections.
